Biography

Phil is a Parter in the firm’s Planning, Environment, Energy and Regulatory team, specialising in construction and engineering matters. He joined Aaron & Partners in February 2020 as a Senior Associate and was promoted to Partner in August 2022.  

Background and Expertise 

Phil advises on a broad range of construction matters, both contentious and non-contentious. He regularly works with a wide range of stakeholders, including funding institutions, developers, contractors and sub-contractors, consultants and private clients. His experience spans various sectors including energy, oil and gas and utilities, as well as logistics, retail, leisure and hospitality, healthcare, automotive and the public sector.  

When dealing with contentious matters, Phil supports clients with dispute avoidance and resolution. He provides strategic advice at an early stage and assists with negotiations where possible. Where matters cannot be resolved, he advises on formal dispute resolution procedures including adjudication and arbitration.  

His non-contentious work includes the preparation, review and negotiation of construction contracts, as well as advising on funding agreements, and drafting contracts for main contractors and other key stakeholders.
