The opportunity

As a Court of Protection Paralegal, you will work closely with partners and experienced colleagues, supporting the management of client financial matters and deputyships. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, accuracy and consistency across a range of responsibilities, while also providing administrative and practical support on client matters.

This is a role for someone who enjoys working with detail, takes pride in delivering high standards of client care, and is looking to build long-term expertise within a specialist area.

You will have responsibility for managing financial aspects of matters, alongside supporting the wider team on client affairs, estates and asset management.

What you will be doing

You will support a range of Court of Protection and private client activities, including:

  • Managing client financial matters, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Time recording, billing and debtor management
  • Supporting deputyship accounts and related administration
  • Assisting with client affairs, estates and asset management
  • Managing incoming matters and diary coordination
  • Providing administrative support across the team
  • Supporting tax return preparation (including Income and Capital Gains Tax), where applicable

About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and confident managing financial processes within a professional environment.

You will:

  • Have bookkeeping experience or experience working in a finance function managing client accounts
  • Be confident using Microsoft Office and systems such as TaxCalc
  • Be a clear communicator, comfortable working with colleagues and clients
  • Be able to manage and prioritise your workload effectively
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Show a commitment to delivering excellent client care
