Aaron & Partners has implemented a series of senior appointments as part of a restructure of our leadership team, reflecting our continued growth and increasing demand for our services.

We have introduced a new executive structure which is designed to support further growth across both our commercial and private client services.

As part of these changes, former Senior Partner Nick Clarke has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. In this position, he retains ultimate responsibility for the firm’s long-term strategic direction, working closely with key Partners and departmental leads.

“I’m incredibly proud of our team and the work they deliver day in, day out for our clients,” said Nick.

“This new structure reflects the scale we’ve reached as a firm and gives us a solid foundation to build on for the next phase of our growth.

“For me, my new role is about creating the right environment and culture for talented people to thrive. I believe that good people doing good work for good clients is a simple recipe for success, and my focus is on maintaining the high standards our reputation has been built on while ensuring we continue to be an attractive place for people to build long-term careers.”

In addition, Helen Watson, previously Head of Employment, has been appointed Senior Partner.

Helen continues to lead our Employment and Immigration Team across our four offices. Her appointment as Senior Partner recognises more than 20 years of leadership, business generation, network building, and strategic growth and development within the firm.

“I’m delighted to have the support and backing of my Partners as we look to take our firm to the next level. For me this role is all about relationship building, internal and external collaboration and with my growing international role and long-standing network of contacts, clients and referrers my aim is to enable us to achieve our ambitions.

“I was the firm’s first female equity partner in 2007 and so it’s an exciting opportunity to be the first female Senior Partner at a time of real growth potential. My focus will primarily be on strategic opportunity, international relations, internal and external collaboration whilst also supporting Nick in his new role as CEO and the firm’s leadership team. As Senior Partner I hope my reputation as an ambassador for the firm already precedes me,” said Helen.

Helen is a Chartered Director and holds a number of notable Board roles, including Vice Chair of the International Advisory Group (IAG), a business network focused on developing collaborations and opportunities for law firms globally. She is also Chair of Theatr Clwyd, an Honorary Ambassador of Claire House Children’s Hospice, an IoD North Wales Board member, and a legal adviser to the People and Culture Boards at Bangor University, Hospice of the Good Shepherd, and Abbey School in Chester.

We have also created two further leadership roles to provide greater focus on growth across our service areas.

Emma McGlinchey has been appointed Head of Business Services and is responsible for driving growth across our commercial teams, alongside continuing in her role as Head of Real Estate.

Clive Pointon has been appointed Head of Private Client Services, with responsibility for our Wills, Trusts & Tax and Family teams. Under the new structure, he has stepped down as Head of Wills, Trusts & Tax, with Partner James Wallace succeeding him in that role.
