Paul is Partner within our Employment Law team and possesses a background in Employment Tribunal Litigation.
Background and Expertise
Paul qualified as a Solicitor in 2014 having completed his training at a prominent firm on the Wirral. Paul joined Aaron & Partners as a solicitor in 2018 and was promoted to Senior Associate Solicitor in 2021 and Partner in 2024. He is experienced in dealing with claims for unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, discrimination, sexual harassment and protective award claims.
Specialisms and Personal Achievements
Paul is well-versed in negotiating settlement agreements for employees, often providing a speedy turnaround for his clients. He works hard to secure and enhance packages for his clients too.
Acting for both Claimants and Respondents over the years has given Paul a real understanding of both sides of legal arguments. He also acts for large employers, supporting their HR teams, and works closely with charities, educational trusts, SME’s and Housing Associations.
Paul provides pragmatic and commercial Employment Law and HR advice, getting to know his clients personally and focusing on their key objectives to achieve results. He swiftly identifies any risks and works to balance the value of the claim for the client against the legal costs, ensuring he works in the client's best interests. Additionally, Paul often presents seminars and training talks on HR issues in an informal and relatable style.
Accredited by the Legal 500, Paul is a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ for his contributions to Employment Tribunal proceedings and is referred by clients as to ‘share the same values and can talk openly and honestly to.’
Paul is one of the lead solicitors heading up the Aaron & Partners Wirral Project and focuses a lot of his work on the Wirral and surrounding areas.
Examples of recent work
- Greensill Capital Protective Award Claim – headed up the legal team in securing judgment for 277 Claimants who were dismissed with immediate effect by Greensill Capital Management (UK) Limited.
- Colin McGuinness v Sovini Property Services Limited – successfully defending a claim for unfair dismissal relating to the totting up of disciplinary warnings.
