Paul is a Partner in our Employment Law team, currently dividing his time between our Chester and Wirral offices.
Background & Expertise
Paul completed his training contract at a Wirral-based firm and qualified as a solicitor in 2014.
He joined Aaron & Partners in 2018 and has since been promoted three times – Paul was named Partner in 2024.
He has significant experience in dealing with all kinds of employment law matters, including unfair/constructive dismissals, discrimination and sexual harassment cases and Protective Award claims.
Specialisations & Personal Achievements
Paul provides pragmatic and commercial employment law and HR advice, acting for employees and employers alike. He deals with individual cases as well as large HR teams, and has collaborated with charities, educational trusts, SMEs and housing associations.
Paul is well-versed in negotiation and works hard to secure favourable settlements for his clients. Another area of his expertise lies in taking claims to Employment Tribunal.
He also handles non-contentious matters – finalising contracts, reviewing staff policies and preparing company handbooks.
Having represented both claimants and respondents over the years, Paul has a well-rounded view of the employment law landscape. He quickly reassures his clients, demonstrating a deep knowledge and understanding of the workplace issues they face and advising on next steps in a clear and concise manner.
Known for his quick turnaround on matters, Paul is committed to providing an excellent legal service for his clients.
He is also one of the solicitors leading the Aaron & Partners Wirral project, with much of his work focused on the peninsula and surrounding areas. Paul is a Trustee of Heswall Golf Club and a Governor of Calday Grange Grammar School.
Recent Work Examples
- Greensill Capital Protective Award claim – led the legal team and secured judgement for 277 claimants who had been dismissed with immediate effect.
- Colin McGuinness v Sovini Property Services Limited – successfully defended against an unfair dismissal claim.
