With over 25 years experience as a family law solicitor, clients describe Lorraine as, “first class”, “approachable and knowledgeable”, “very professional” and “a tenacious but empathetic lawyer who obtains outstanding results.” She is one of the go-to lawyers in the region for matrimonial, cohabitation and children cases.
Background & Expertise
Lorraine joined Aaron & Partners in 2004 to establish the Family Department and was made a Partner in 2006. She has degrees in law (University of Sheffield) and humanities (University of Ulster) and has also studied history and American constitutional law at the University of North Carolina.
Lorraine has successfully represented a wide range of clients – from teachers, doctors, farmers, business owners and their ex-partners/spouses to well-known names from the worlds of television, politics and Premier League football. She is based in Chester and Shrewsbury but draws her clients from across the country and overseas.
Specialisations & Personal Achievements
Lorraine has extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of matrimonial and family law, particularly cases involving financial issues arising from separation or divorce. These matters are often high value and technically complex, business assets, pensions, trusts, inherited wealth, “hidden” monies and assets located outside the UK.
Lorraine’s robust approach, attention to detail and clear advice enables clients to resolve issues and move on with their lives. She is focussed on problem-solving and aims to find solutions to disputes that minimise the impact of separation on children.
Most of Lorraine’s work results from recommendations from previous clients and she has been ranked for many years in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners directories. She is a member of Resolution, the nationwide association of lawyers committed to resolving family and matrimonial issues in a constructive way.
