Biography
John is a Partner within our Dispute Resolution team with an extensive background in commercial litigation.
Background and Expertise:
John began his career as a trainee at Davies Wallis Foyster (formerly Foysters) in Manchester, where he developed his skills before qualifying as a solicitor in 1990. Following his early years as a solicitor at DWF and some part time lecturing at Salford University, John went to Malaysia working as a law lecturer from 1992-1996 for NCUK, the Northern Consortium of UK Universities.
In February 1997, John returned to private practice in England and brought his wealth of experience to Aaron & Partners as an assistant solicitor and was promoted to Partner in 1999. Specialising in Commercial Litigation, John is adept in contractual and tortious claims involving property, professional negligence, insurance, and company/partnership disputes. His clientele ranges from multinational corporations to sole traders and individuals, reflecting his adaptability and expertise across diverse organisational structures.
Specialisations and Personal Achievements:
John has earned a reputation as a highly regarded litigator with his clients and is recognised by the Legal 500 as a "Leading Individual" and “Recommended Lawyer.” John’s experience includes successfully pursuing a multi-million-pound arbitration claim against an overseas state, and several matters which have reached the appellate courts, as well as many smaller but equally interesting cases involving a broad range of legal disputes.
John serves as a Director and Trustee of The Hammond, a specialised co-educational school focusing on dance and musical theatre.
