Background and Expertise
Jo qualified in 2001 after completing her training contract with a firm based in Wolverhampton.
A role as the head of a residential department in a national firm, overseeing multiple offices followed, and then immediately prior to joining Aarons, as the head of a residential department in a prominent Shrewsbury-based firm. Jo joined Aarons in 2020 as a Senior Associate Solicitor and was promoted to Partner in 2023.
Jo’s general workload in residential property law includes sales, purchases, re-mortgages, buy-to-lets, sale of parts, and transfers of equity. As a Shropshire resident, she holds extensive knowledge of the local marketplace and has personal experience dealing with London properties, especially leasehold and shared freehold properties.
Specialisms and Personal Achievements
Having handled cases involving landowners with long-standing estates, often unravelling intricate family legacies spanning generations, Jo is unfazed by complicated property titles which others may shy away from. Additionally, she has represented local developers, assisting in setting up development sites and managing subsequent plot sales.
With a dedicated work ethic, Jo treats each transaction as if it were her own. She is committed to providing an outstanding service, ensuring clients are kept informed at every step using clear, no-nonsense language.
In 2023 Jo was selected as a committee member of the Law Society Property Section, highlighting her commitment to professional development and industry involvement.
In 2024 Jo was also appointed to the Conveyancing and Land Law Committee of The Law Society.
