Together with Adam Gallacher, we set up RSK Orbital over twenty years ago.  We work with a diverse range of companies across the world to deliver high quality imagery, analytics and reporting of geodata via bespoke, web-based software developed in-house, allowing clients to make use the often complex and very large datasets from their desktop web-browser. From the start, a third of the business was owned by RSK Group and, after twenty years of success, we felt the time was right to sell our shares to them, giving them 100% ownership of RSK Orbital. Aaron and Partners came highly recommended to us by an associate at Illingworth Seddon who had successfully worked with them and Jamie Hawley, on many occasions. Initially, we thought we would be able to do most of the work for the share transfer ourselves, but we soon realised how much we needed Jamie’s expertise. Our business has used Aaron & Partners for the majority of our legal work since 2015 when they acted efficiently and at short notice to resolve a serious situation within our business. Jamie was personally recommended to us by a trusted financial adviser and his help was invaluable from the beginning.  We’re an engineering business and we were looking for someone to help us to go through a process of acquisition for our company. It has actually since changed and is now more of a 50/50 partnership – so a 50% acquisition which will then lead to a full takeover in time.  His previous experience with similar situations enabled him to highlight potential pitfalls.
