Expertise

Grace is a Solicitor in our Family Law team, currently working out of our Chester office.

Background & Expertise

Grace graduated from Bangor University in 2018 with an undergraduate degree in Linguistics. She then started her law conversion, studying for her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Chester.

Grace joined Aaron & Partners in April 2021, working as a paralegal in our Employment team for eighteen months before starting her training contract. She completed seats in our Real Estate and Dispute Resolution teams before moving over to Family, where she later qualified.

Specialisations & Personal Achievements

Grace handles a wide range of family law matters and sees that her role as a solicitor is to support people through the legal processes surrounding their relationships. She advises married and unmarried couples on separation, mainly dealing with divorce and matrimonial finance matters.

She also advises couples on a range of options available to protect their assets at the start of a relationship or prior to marriage, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. Grace and the Family Law team are keen to expand their work on pre-nuptial agreements and other non-contentious aspects of the discipline.

Her experience in dispute resolution and real estate law has provided Grace with key skills to support her family law work, as there is often significant overlap between these fields – especially in the selling or transfer of properties and the application of legislation like the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act (TOLATA).

Grace also has experience of Children Act proceedings and is committed to working hard to resolve children disputes outside of court where possible.

Grace’s responsibilities include drafting documents, meeting with clients, liaising with other legal professionals and attending court.

Balancing empathy and analysis in her work, Grace is well-suited to navigate such a nuanced and emotive area of law. She is there to support her clients through some of the most difficult life changes, highlighting the importance of resolution and helping them to find closure.

Grace is a member of family law organisation Resolution and mentors LPC students looking to pursue a career in family law.

Your work in what was a 2700 page bundle needs to be applauded. Its categorisation and overall compiling was so important in being able to reference quickly many documents which ultimately won the case for us. As a young professional, I want you to know how important the work you did, and no doubt many more tasks behind the scenes contributed to the winning of my case, in what has been the worst 2 years of my life. You made a huge difference, and for that, I am extremely grateful.
