Expertise

Adam is a Partner in our Employment Law team, currently working out of the Greater Manchester office.

Background & Expertise

Adam studied at the University of St Andrews and graduated with a master’s in English. He then moved abroad, spending the next few years living and working in Italy.

Returning to the UK to pursue his legal career, Adam completed his law conversion and secured his training contract at a firm in Manchester.

Adam qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and went straight into practice, working at firms across the Northwest and building a stellar reputation for himself as an employment law specialist.

Adam joined Aaron & Partners in January 2025, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role of Partner in our Employment team.

Specialisations & Personal Achievements

Acting for both claimants and respondents, Adam has advised on all kinds of employment law matters. He attracts clients operating in every sector – from retail to pharmaceuticals to healthcare.

Adam’s regular representation of medical professionals is a particularly unique aspect of his work. He has an excellent track record in this technically complex and high-stakes area of law, often securing settlement deals without having to go to tribunal.

Discrimination law – namely menopause discrimination – is another key interest area for Adam. He is widely considered an expert in this field, helping individuals to bring claims on these grounds and undertaking significant research. He is at the forefront of the legal debate on menopause discrimination and is often asked by national news outlets and publications to comment on current developments. He has been on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and even appeared as a witness in Parliament, giving evidence in front of the Women and Equalities Committee.

His work is also international in scope. Adam speaks Italian and has close links with Italy, bringing in clients and business from the Continent. More recently, he has been establishing a client portfolio in China. Adam hopes to further develop his language skills and network of overseas contacts through his work here at Aaron & Partners.

Adam is personally invested in his work; he develops long-standing relationships with clients, putting extra effort into getting to know them and the context of their business.

Presented with a new issue, Adam’s first priority is to gain a deeper understanding of the situation and get everything down on paper. His next step is to simplify matters for the client, deconstructing the legal issues at hand and formulating a plan.

Proactive in his approach, Adam highlights that reactive measures are sometimes necessary but never the preferred option.

Adam is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and has been involved in a lot of charity work – particularly linked to drug and alcohol addiction charities. He is currently working on a male suicide prevention policy with the British Standards Institution.
