We have an exciting opportunity to join the I.T team as an IT Support/Infrastructure Engineer based in our Chester office on a 12-month fixed term position with a view to becoming permanent. You must have the ability to travel as required. Covering core working hours between 8am and 6.30pm, Monday-Friday on a rotating shift. There may be a requirement to work outside of these hours or at weekends. Additionally travel to our office in Altrincham may be expected.
Working as part of a small team we are looking for someone who can work well on their own, is self-motivated but can also be a crucial part of project work and firmwide IT initiatives. When required you will have the ability to work well in a team.
General daily duties to include but are not limited to;
• Active directory administration, on prem and AAD
• MS O365 administration
• Windows Server 2016 onwards Configuration and administration
• Hardware support and monitoring – InTune/Autopilot
• Deployment of apps and policies via InTune
• Telecoms support – 8x8/Teams
• Logging and resolving helpdesk calls.
• Escalation point for IT Support Technician.
• Liaise with vendors to escalate issues that cannot be resolved in-house.
• Collaborate with the team and wider business on on-going technical projects.
Ideally the candidate will have experience of the following -
• MS Security – MDFE, Purview.
• Patch management and deployment
• iManage administration
• Aderant/cloud-based practice management
• Experience within a Legal Firm
Key Attributes
• Minimum 4 years’ experience of delivering IT support in a professional services role, ideally experience within a Law firm.
• Solid working understanding of a standard operating environment and IT helpdesk expectations.
• Ability to confidently communicate technical issues in plain English to users who are non-technical.
• Professional, approachable, and articulate manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised to a high standard and take a proactive approach.
• Strong communication skills (written/verbal).
• Able to take a flexible approach to working hours, as some out of hours work may be required.
• A desire to learn new skills, take ownership of projects and a general good attitude.
• Comfortable working in a small team.
