About the role

We are looking for a Secretary/Paralegal to join the DR team in Chester to support one of our partners.

Duties will include:

  • Audio typing
  • Handle telephone enquiries and direct accordingly
  • Diary Management
  • Preparing legal documents and court bundles
  • Writing legal letters, proof reading and formatting of documents
  • Legal research
  • Liaising with Courts, experts and other third parties
  • Assisting with file management, opening new files, completing compliance checks

Requirements

Successful candidates will hold a Law degree and obtained or studying towards their LPC or SQE would be desirable.

Previous experience of working in a Dispute Resolution/Litigation team/setting would be ideal but not essential.

You will have strong administration skills and the ability to provide the team with a high standard of support.

You will be a confident person with excellent communication skills who is at ease when dealing with the team, colleagues, third parties and clients; ensuring that each client receives an excellent level of service.

You will have the ability to manage your workload and have experience of working to deadlines. You will also have an excellent eye for detail and the desire to get things right first time.

Hours of work & Benefits

This is a Full-time position based in our Chester office. Working hours are 09:00am to 05:30pm.
