What are the main requirements?
You will need an endorsement by an endorsing body in the field relevant to you to establish that you are a leader or potential leader before applying for a visa in this category.
You must:
- Be issued an endorsement letter by the relevant body
- Submit your application within 3 months of the date of the endorsement letter
How long can you stay in the UK?
You can reside and work in the UK for up to 5 years in this category. You can apply for an extension of permission to remain in the UK as there is no limit on the duration that you may remain in the UK in this category.
You may apply for indefinite leave to remain in the UK after 3 years if you were endorsed in your field as an exceptional talent and have worked in the UK for at least 3 years. You may for indefinite leave to remain in the UK after 5 years if you were endorsed in your field as an exceptional promise and have lived and worked in the UK for the relevant 5 years.
How do you apply in this category?
Your application is submitted online whether you are applying from outside the UK, applying to extend your visa, or applying to switch to this category from within the UK.
You can include your partner and dependent children in your application for permission to stay with you.
